One-Piece Fit Connects the Torso and Bottom

Unlike separates, one-piece garments must balance vertical girth, bust, waist, hip, rise and leg length in one continuous pattern.

Torso Length / GirthToo short can pull at shoulders and gusset; too long can create excess folds.
Bust and Upper BodyNeckline, armhole, straps and optional internal support affect fit.
Rise and GussetRise depth, gusset shape and seam placement influence movement and comfort.
Leg and HemLength, opening tension and silhouette must coordinate with the torso pattern.

Fabric Selection

Stretch, Recovery and Coverage Must Work Together

One piece activewear fabrics linings and elastics\

Nylon–Elastane

Often selected for smooth hand feel, comfortable stretch and close-fit active styles.

Polyester–Elastane

Options for training, printed programs and products requiring durable color routes.

Linings & Support

Gusset lining, shelf-bra components, cups, mesh and elastic are specified separately.

Opacity, compression and support cannot be guaranteed from fiber percentage alone; evaluate them on the approved fabric, color, pattern and sample size.

Buyer Questions

One-Piece Activewear Manufacturing FAQ

Why is torso length important in a one-piece garment?

The top and bottom are connected, so vertical girth affects shoulder pull, bust position, rise, gusset comfort and excess folding throughout the garment.

Can a one-piece include internal bra support?

Yes, depending on the design. Shelf linings, elastic, cups and other components must be developed together with the torso pattern and neckline.

Are active jumpsuits and swimsuits manufactured to the same specification?

No. Swimwear requires swim-specific material, exposure, lining and performance decisions. The intended end use must be identified at quotation.

What is the MOQ?

The typical cut-and-sew starting point is 100 pieces per SKU. Seamless knitting, custom molded cups, zippers or special materials may require higher quantities.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send the product type and end use, design, target market, torso/fit requirements, size range, fabric, closure, internal support, colors, branding, quantity and delivery date.
